Executive Summary

As described on this website, SPARK Institute is a Pune-based non-profit organization that offers specialized educational programs that help children harness the tremendous power of computers by learning to program. Programming is not an end in itself; instead it becomes, for the children, a great tool in their overall learning process.

We go to schools and conduct interesting computer courses that involve topics like:

  • Understanding geometry through computer graphics
  • Writing programs to solve puzzles and to design games
  • Designing animation
  • Building robots
  • Understanding CPU and its Binary World

Many schools cannot afford the cost of our courses. If you see value in providing such Computer Education Program to school children, please consider sponsoring one or more batches. You can recommend your own school for these programs, or consider one that we are already in discussion with. Please contact us at abhay@spark-institute.com or shreekant@spark-institute.com for a detailed discussion of our programs.

There are 3 ways in which you can help:

Option 1: Sponsor one batch for one course

Our course fee per student is Rs. 1000. So a single batch of 20 students at any school of your choice wishing to take one of our courses will cost Rs. 20,000. This is inclusive of all costs, except for the computer lab (consisting of 10 PCs minimum).

Option 2: Sponsor one batch for one year

Our annual program consists of 2 individual courses. A single batch of 20 students at any school of your choice wishing to undertake our annual program will cost Rs. 40,000. This is inclusive of all costs, except for the computer lab (consisting of 10 PCs minimum).

Option 3: Sponsor multiple batches

You can also choose to sponsor multiple batches in a year at a given school.
